Filson opens store in Barbour country

Filson took an awesome step and opened a store in London.

Maybe the queen will move from Barbor to Filson

X2 on the lame ass hipsters. I blame the trendy trustafarians and Garden & Gun for the downfall of Barbour

I personally always try to support local. If you need a badass leather men's bag go to my leather man Joseph Hanna Leather. You can watch him hand-build you anything from scratch. YKK zips, etc. I do like some of the Filson jackets though.

Of course you have a "leather" guy. Is that where you got your custom gimp suit?

They need to drop the Levi name.

Waxed Canvas

I'm a big fan of waxed canvas (the original tech fabric)... I think Filson was bought out a few years ago by a former Ralph Lauren exec. James Bond doesn't mind spending $700 for barbour... I made some heavy duty dog beds from waxed canvas with an antiqued YKK brass zipper 6 years ago and the are in great shape. I'll post pics later. 5" thick solid memory foam mattress that fits perfectly in the back of my D90.

Memory Foam/Waxed Canvas Dog Bed

Here is a couple pics of some dog beds I made out of waxed canvas... I'm thinking about making some seat covers for the Defender.

Because they are pre-oiled to spoil any nice clothes you might erroneously wear in you truck.

I'll put up my recycled Tyvek grocery bag against a Filson any day of the week. It's my "statement luggage"

It would make a statement. But wouldn't last as long. Filson is growing the customer base. I had Filson luggage before it was a statement.
