Favour needed in the UK...parcel from Canada?

I'm after a big ask here, wonder if anyone might be able to help.

A good friend of mine here in the UK, wants to buy a flourescent HI-Viz jacket for when he's out on his Grizzly quad. There is a particular style he was after, that he used to wear when he was in the Army in BATUS.

The company that supplies them outright refuses to send anything out of Canada (why? )

anyway, Is there anyone who, after being paid first obviously, would be willing to buy said jacket (or two if I think they look nice... I might want one too!) and then forward it/them on from Canada over to here in the UK?

Many thanks in advance

Jamie

Hi,

Just remind your buddy that the Canadian hi-vis clothing won't have a BSA Kite mark, might have an EU 'CE' mark, so if he has an accident it could affect his insurance....

When we moved to BC, I brought over a few pairs of brand new Doc Martins toe tectors.... guess what, can't wear them here for work as there not CSA approved, will work anywhere in the EU though !

Play safe !

The hi viz is for me. There will be no insurance issues. For the simple fact there is no requirement to wear hi viz when riding a quad on the road in the UK. So any hi viz is going above and beyond in the first place.
Bizarrely, there is no requirement to wear a helmet either. So in theory I could ride to work in t shirt, shorts and flip flops

Jamie, I can help if needed (assuming they would ship to the US), but shipping it down here first, then to the UK would be even more expensive.

I'm going back to the UK late Sept/early October. I can help out but that's way in the future.

Evening All

The favour Jamie is after is for me. I didn't think to ask the family of Landrovers to help me out.
I ride my quad to work and need a hi viz jacket that stands out. All the versions in the UK are bland and boring. I was issued something similar when I was working in BATUS.
The vest I'm after is this one

Hi-Viz Flagger's Mesh Tear-Away Vest | All Safety Gear - Canada

I'm after a Large in the yellow.

The problem is, I have mailed the company to ask about shipping to the UK. They point blank refuse. They insist that it has to be paid for on a Canadian credit card, and the card has to be registered in Canada and the delivery address has to be the same address the card is registered to and it must be inside Canada.
Seems like they don't want to sell.

If anyone can help me out that would be great. I'm more than happy to front the money for the hiviz, postage if anyone can help.

Many thanks
