Fasteners for LaSalle Headliner???

All - I bought the pictured fasteners from RN for my LaSalle Headliner however they sheer off when hammered in.

Should I be using the push pin kind? If, so can you point me to correct brand and size?

Thanks!

Those pins look like they should be pushed in not hammered.

Victor,

The christmas tree type fasteners are not ones we suggest for the Lasalle headliners. We are the only authorized reseller for Lasalle and have put in a lot of headliners...

There are two methods we like to use for headliner retention, depending on your use and plans.

My favorite is to use a standard pop rivet for the least amount of headliner movement once installed. There is a specific sequence to the riveting in order to have the best fit.

Alternately the Lasalle headliners come with pushbutton type poly rivets - these work well if you plan to remove the headliner or are not anticipating hard use.

push those in. For the tough ones, rubber mallet with a clean rag between the two.

I ordered a LaSalle headliner for my 110. I bought 4 speaker pods as well. Will the speaker pods get in the way of an 8 point SD roll cage install?

Anything else I should know with this install? LaSalle recommended using screws instead of the plastic fasteners so we could remove it later on

Pretty straight forward on the install - I suggest having an extra set of hands and don't be surprised if you need to tap a few new holes.

As for fasteners, I used these from Home Depot and they are holding tight thus far.

Can't comment on the speaker Pods but if they don't work out, let me know

Thanks for the info....

Also, the headliner I ordered needs to have the Alpine Windows cut out. He sent trim pieces that fit into the holes after they're cut. Did you have to do this? He recommended mine be done this way because my body shop custom cut the Alpine Windows into my Puma roof and they could be off from factory a little bit.

Does your roll cage not have any internal hoop?
