Exporting a NAS

So I cant think of a reason why I would need to but I'm curious to know is it difficult to export a NAS90 out of the country? To say France, Germany, Switzerland? I know you could just buy new, but curious to know if it's just as difficult to get them out as getting them in?

it all depends on the import country. the us does not care what you export. you just have to pay your tax / tarrif / fee's where it is going.

Several have been exported out to Europe... The POE that Ron B, JimC, and Bryn owned. I Jim had it in Russia too.

As long as it complies with EEC regulations if exported to a country in the EEC, you should be good. But ask yourself , could you afford a V8 when gas costs $8 a gallon?

No problem at all to Switzerland, however they have just increased the import tax on large engined vehicles, but if you take it with you as moving goods its 100% free you just cant sell it for a year. The only thing that needs changing on most US imports are the front side markers from amber to clear.

The 97 NAS 90 are the same spec as the 50th anniversary that were sold in select markets throughout Europe (though in small numbers) from new so should be fine.

I sold and exported my Arles Blue 94 st to a guy in Monaco that did not like diesels. He was complaining that you could not get a D90 with a V-8 over there...go figure.

I just found 138/500 at a Rover place in the Black Forest. Currently on Swiss plates, was exported when new. Get the feeling that the same thing happened to 10+ NAS 110s in 1993.

Lr specialist needed to inspect truck

Hi

I recently bought a defender just outside of London and need someone to go take a look at it and be sure it is being prepped for shipping to the USA. I will pay someone to make a couple trips and report back to me.

This person needs to know about LRs and know something about exporting. They need to be professional. Please let me know if you are the right person. Respond with a phone number and I will give you a call. Need to be available this Friday and a day next week.

Thank you!

Just outside London covers a huge area from Hampshire to the South, Maidenhead to the West, Hertfordshire to the North, Essex to the North East. Where some one is willing to go is location dependent. Could you be more explicit, or PM me if you wish ?

I'm afraid to say this, Uncle Doug, but its a BLR scenario.

The term "Crikey" comes to mind.
