Expedition Trailer

Here are some shots of my homebuilt expedition trailer we are working on. I thought I'd share
them.

This is how I found it:

Well, we are getting there. Maybe by the weekend it will be finished up (for the most part).

Very cool. Looks like you went with adapters/spacers to change the wheel bolt patterns. Were those pricey?

How heavy is the tent? I assume you wouldn't travel without it loaded underneath? Or is the idea to remove the tent/mounting frame when not using it?

I got the spacers for $20 used.

The trailer is very heavy and very stout. There will be no problems with the tent on loaded or unloaded.

Good to hear. Good on the spacers too. I had visions of $150 each or something crazy like that (at lest that's the kind of money I remember seeing them cost).

Adventure trailers wanted over $350 for a set. I found a set used locally and it was my lucky day. They are 5X5.5, which is an old jeep pattern. I believe the trailer is an early fifties Sears trailer made by someone else. It is really stout.

And, Jack, if I could get away for a bit I'd love to take it up there. I'll have to check dates.

I know, but it is on the rise. 1 foot in the past couple of days. Down just at 10 feet now. Come on, rain!
