I hear what you're saying... I like the 'PG-13' rating here myself too, keeps Pendy in line. and me for that matter.

But a whole bunch of people are missing the point and John's propoganda he keeps spewing out is TOTALLY MISSING THE POINT. He's basing his argument on WHY people's questions or wants are unacceptable, and the moral of the story here folks IS:

A Customers questions are always right, and the Customer is always right.

Plain & F_cking simple.

I'll leave it at that, and back to the propoganda and butt kissing.

P.S. And please don't post my work address anymore, the email address I use 'outside of work' is: lrnasd90@yahoo.com (honestly that's the only one that's not populated with thousands of emails, literally). Thanks!

I really think that the business world has moved past the customer is always right mantra towards a clientelling standpoint and client retention and relationship viewpoint.

World has changed and people will try to screw a business if they can for their own selfish means. Not all customers are worth retaining.

The funniest part is the thread itself. Instead of it turning into an EE bash session it actually is providing a buzz in itself. Remember, there is no bad publicity. John hardly comes across as he was depicted and provides lucid evidence to counter most of the claims.

I mean Nick the LE and Military ban is on the manufacturers and EE site. If the customer is always right and John complied, he would be breaking contracts which would risk his own business. So your wish to sideskirt his legal obligation, while right in your mind is actually an unscrupulous act on your part, is it not?

This thread has now spilled over to other forums and has struck a all time low no matter whos side you are on. After reading this and the other forum I could not help but think of how I would react if I caught my two kids acting like this. The only emotion that came to mind was sad and dissapointed, not angry. Oh well, it started out kind of amusing then just turned south big time.

No way! This needs to live on forever. We should make it a sticky, and put a racial slur in the title!

Clearly, nobody at EE needs me to chime in...but this post has drawn me out of lurk mode. My wife purchased a gift certificate for me last Christmas from EE and she had nothing but good things to say about the experience. I've called EE twice, once to use the GC, and once to ask about springs/shocks. Both conversations were just fine.

These threads are like a busy intersection/crowded crosswalk...there's a tough-guy around every corner sitting at a nice comfortable distance tucked safely in his own little box.

Eric,

I hear what you're saying but the point of this whole thing has been missed.
I wasn't asking him to 'break the rules' and ship to me, I was just asking WHY.
And it took a bunch of emails back and forth about the 'automatic knife' for instance to get that information. I wasn't asking them to 'please' send me one and forget the law, but as I've stated, I haven't had a pocket knife in a while so I didn't know. And I didn't know why some knives could be shipped and some couldn't. THIS is the point.

That's all bud...

Nicholas
OH... and I'm not racist, regardless of what everyone's going to blow this up over. I didn't make a statement about race until someone else did. Please keep this in mind.
Also, I have 2 step-sisters in my immediate family who are FULL BLOODED Chinese. Tiffany Chen & Elizabeth Chen, both of whom live in NJ and both who I email/speak to on a regular basis. But a shot is a shot nonetheless.

Oh. I see. I thought there was something else underlying it. I was hoping you'd take it the way you did as opposed to a dig, which it really wasn't. I was just trying to clarify a point there.

Hope all is well in Florida. You're one lucky bastard to be SOX Free. . . .

Yes, and my 'asking' him to send it regardless was just like 2 kids saying 'awwww come on'...
When he and I spoke a while back I meant it more as a compliment that I wanted to buy from HIM and nobody else, which was true at the time.

I'm not saying I was right, I'm not saying I haven't had any pleasant experience, or my girlfriend (well fiance' now) when she called to order me the Black Diamond Headlamp... I'm just saying, don't hate me for asking... Don't be a 'player hater'.

Yes, SOX is in the backburner now... Thank GOD! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

And don't worry about it, I know it wasn't a dig, and if it was I can take it.

Thanks man.

Gotcha. Please forgive me for asking a couple of
questions.

-Honestly, I'd rather buy from you guys, don't ask me
why I hate it when my username/logon doesn't work on
the BB.. I really do admire the content of the
website, there's really nothing else out there like
it. So, why can't you sell the automatics over the
internet ?
And why can another website ?

Are they they that more 'dangerous' ?

Oh, I have a Fedex tracking # for you:

I am not implying that you are. I understand your stance on he started it, but it doesn't make it right and both of you were in the wrong for resorting to it. Again, I am not blowing it out of context, you guys said something I don't want to see on my site and I asked that it not be done again.

Exclamation Ughh

Wow, I can't believe I missed this action! Where have I been?

Brief thoughts:

1) Anyone who sells Land Rover stuff for a living rocks, no matter what they do, say, eat, think or shit.

2) John has a lot of guns (law-fearing droids pls don't flame me for a joke).

3) I have lots of badass crap on my Rover cuz of John and his Ho.

4) A policy of the most successful businesses I have run has been "the customer is always right".

5) The above policy (4) does not apply to businesses dealing with super cool specialty products.

6) My name is Wicks and I am also a Roversnob.

Way to stand up and be counted Adam. I really like thought #6.

It just brings up two questions:

1) Is there a twelve step program for that?

2) Do we both need to go?
