Exmoor Black Outlast material NLA

This may just be news to me but I called today to order 8 seats and was just informed that Exmoor no longer has any black outlast canvas material so my seats can't be made? WTF!*#
Needless to say this blows!

Anyone hoarding a bunch of black outlast canvas? Selling some black outlast seats......specifically these:

Yeah I wish I would have known that they were going to stop producing the Outlast seats, cause I would order an extra set for future use.

On the bright side, saved you some grief. Black Outlast is the worst material I've ever had with regards to retaining stains and dirt, even after professional cleaning. Their seats are nothing special either.

Hmm....Well I suppose to each their own huh...lol
I really like my outlast seats. I also suppose it depends on the type of truck you're working with and how those seats fit into that particular vehicles usage. With a convertible style truck I really don't think leather is ideal being prone to harsher weather conditions on a regular basis. But, on other trucks not as open daily, I like leather.

Again, it's all personal preference. So if anyone has some black outlast seats laying around that doesn't like them and they are in good shape then hit me up! I may have some interest. Any hoarders holding 8 of the inward facing seats above....get up with me. That's what I'm really in search of. Although this search should pretty much wrap up here because I probably have as good a chance of winning tomorrows powerball as finding that many of those NLA seats........

Ditto...I have had them on the trail truck for some years now and not impressed. They have faded in the sun pretty bad and are a pain to clean the mud off of.

On a side note the G4 fabric has changed. The rubber insets are a different design than what they were a couple years ago.

I'm revisiting my Outlast Tith seats and exploring a few options. Most people seem to really not like the Outlast but I however really like it. Current front seats in Outlast are extremely faded as most I've seen. Curious if anyone has a set of front Outlast seats from a Tith that are not faded and in great condition. If so, shoot me a PM.

Thanks in advance!

They stopped offering the material due to the fading issue. However, they can be dyed and made to look new again , very easily. I have done it on many of my Tithonus Trucks.

Hey Ken. Can you PM me some details on how you dyed them specifically.
That would be ideal and inexpensive which is what I'm after here.

Thanks.

There is an auto interior guy a few doors down from the shop that I have been using for many years. He dyes them and they come back looking like new. It does not cost all that much so I recommend having a pro do it as well. They probably use better dye than the stuff you can buy at an auto parts store.

I spoke to a couple other guys who have had good experience with dying the seats so that's the route I'm going to take. My only initial concern with dying was that the dye would start to bleed and sitting on the seats would discolor and stain clothes. But from what I hear that shouldn't be an issue. I'll give it a shot!

Exmoor is famous for discontinuing good products that people like and replacing the selection with cheaper less durable offerings.
I just bought the Trakkers seat covers from Johnathan George and they will last forever.
They are a minimum of 10 years old and look barely used.
Made by Exmoor and they have nothing even close to it today.
If they can get the old series elephant hide made and produce good quality seats at reasonable prices, then they can do most anything they want to.
Just a case of a supplier being out of touch with members of their target market.
