Thumbs up Excellent feedback for Darton Fabrication

I have to share this, kind of unusual these days:

A few months ago, I bought an alloy oil breather from them.
http://www.dartonfabrications.co.uk/
Item was sent to a postal address I have in miami, then shipped
from Miami to here (Dom. Rep.). Finally got the part in my hands,
very nice, very well done. When I finally found the time for installation,
I noticed that the breather was coming to close to the air filter housing,
and was touching when engine was on because of vibrations.
No way I was sending this back to the UK, I had to find a local solution.
I finally decided to do a "nice" ding in the breather, using wood and
rags and shaping the breather according to air filter housing. After a
little polishing, the thing was working, no more touching. I said to myself
that I have to write to those people so they can modify their design.
I did it like two months later, not claiming for anything, just making
an observation and telling them how I solved it.
The answer was plain and simple "no way one of my item is going
to be fit with a ding because of a fabrication mystake, take measurements
for me, I'm going to make a new one for you"
The custom breather was sent a few days ago, completely free of charge
and it's fitting perfect.

Hats off

All I want to know is did you really pay 65 pounds for an oil breather? Really??

Made it further than half of the other guys, but the Hammers won.

Yes I did. I'm surprised by that comment from someone who is involved in
fabrication and know what it takes to have a good product. Now all I want to
know is how many folks paid the equivalent of 50 pounds for a pair of grilles ?

Its because I have a general idea of what things cost that made me ask the question. If I had put the same markup on the vents as they must have on that I would have sold them for $3000. But, if it is a great product and has no real competition, I am all for people making money. Especially if your happy with it.

Just to have an idea:

Full alloy construction.
1 inlet and 2 oulets pipes, all with different angles.
Very good welding
CNC lettering on top
Mirror finish polishing
Screws and o-ring for installation
Additional alloy plug, hose and hose clamp if
you want to plug your connection to air intake
Excellent customer service

You want to give it a shot ?
