ex-MOD? Annapolis, MD

Saturday the 14th @ 5PM or so on West St. in Annapolis heading west -- Green non-nas D-90 with tan soft top and enormous LR sticker on the door. Nice rig -- what are the details on it?

Sounds like the hybrid 90 that Peter Reed used to own. Did it have other stickers as well? Was it kinda like bronze green?

Yah, stickers all over it, conniston green on maybe 285s. Was going the other direction in twilight, so I didn't get the best look at it. Might have been a badger top and it had a "defender" sticker over the breakfast. No grill guard, I think SW doors. Nearly ran the mini into oncoming traffic craning my neck as I drove by. In retrospect it looked a lot like the one that lived down in the Hampton Roads area that the guy had dropped full chevy running gear in, I think with a divorced lt230 that had a low-low of something like 150:1. He won the slow race at the Middy ca. 2001 . . .

If thats not it, it's a near identical twin. What's the story on it? Good to see that I was completely wrong on the top and the tires . . . Good looking truck, though!

Well, I wouldn't say you're wrong on the top since you did say "tan soft top". Those pics I think are from a few months back so chances are the wheels are now swapped out if you saw them different.

If I remember correctly, it's a 74 Series III converted to a D90 with a coil chassis and a 4.6 V8 from JE Engineering. It's a well equipped truck.

Hey Glenn -- Which windshield is that in those images? It looks like a Series windshield but one piece instead of two ... and the same height as the Series (not the extra inch or three that the Defender provides).
