Ever heard of a Hella edition Defender?

Customer's sister recently purchased a 94 NAS D90 and had been informed that it was 1 of 4 promotional vehicles built by Rover for Hella.

Quick search just brought up a lot of Rovers with Hella lights (!), but nothing specifically Hella.

Any thoughts?

How on earth did she find it? The only one I've seen floating around has been the blue one that was the MLB pitchers that ECR had for sale a few years ago.

Where did it come from, and why have you not already posted photos of it here for us to enjoy? The orange one is my favorite.

I know I 'm curious as hell now to see which one was found and does the badge number match

Sorry to geek out on you guys, but I've wondered about these... the badge numbers are spread so far apart, it seems that they were pulled from port inventory when they were already here. And then painted on this side of the pond. Which makes them, to me, not too special.

POE 90s? Now those are rare! (even if they did slip through the cracks... I wondered at the time how they got away with installing a Safety Devices roll cage that bolted directly to nothing more than the aluminum roof skin).

There is an Orange Hella Edition too, but it has been with same owner since '94 and I highly doubt it has been sold.

I saw the blue one going down Route 3 in Mass near the Duxbury area a few years ago. Or at least it was a dead ringer for the blue one (couldn't see the badge #).

The Arizona Blue Hella 90 just changed hands. This is the 90 that Trevor is talking about. The owner we sold it to passed away and a new owner has it now via his estate sale. It is now in PA. Spoke to the new owner yesterday.

The one we worked on was Arizona Blue through and through. We stripped it to bare metal in spots for paint and there was no other color underneath any of it.
It was painted Arizona Blue prior to assembly.
It was not re-painted. It was Blue everywhere from the factory.
IMO they are the rarest of NAS 90s, other than LRNA#1.

It has about 5K miles on it since we re-did it and is still in top shape.

I do not check PMs. Call or email if you need something.

ECR is not a parts source. We are not in the mail order business.

Seems Hella gay. Looks like every other Defender with Hellas on the roof, to me.

It's not here; I was working on her brother's SC Sport today, and he casually mentioned it conversation.
Looking forward to seeing it myself!

Make it happen! Though Mike seems to have hit the nail with the Arizona Blue call. I'd still like to know what the market value is on these...are we talking 100K?
