There was a guy back in the late 70's early 80's that built a electric Range Rover, used the guts from a milk float. didn't have to pay road tax and no MOT.

OK, so what gear ratios do the transfer case and diffs have on a new defender? 1.2 and 3.54? With a 2.7:1 single speed gearbox that's a 11.4:1 final drive ratio... That's really low!

They could mean 2.7 combined. Who knows, it is just marketing....

Yes, current model Defenders have 1.2 t. cases.

And 3.54 in the diffs? Combined would be 9.5: which actually makes sense. The tesla and leaf are around 8.3:1 and a defender has larger tires and is heavier and has the drag coefficient of a brick so would need lower gearing.
