Talking ECR New SS Exhaust Kits Coming soon TDI Too

IF you guys have not read, ECR will be making custom SS exhaust systems for defenders.

As for you Tdi drivers, they told me that if they get a few people interested, they will make a few Tdi kits also.

I want one with no muffler, that ends right beside the rearmost exhaust hanger. Most of the redneck idiots in my area have no idea how to bend a custom exhaust.

Ending the exhaust right by the rear most hanger is exactly where I finished my exhaust. It doesn't fill with mud or get ripped apart when off road,
Pic to follow

Follow-up Post:

Here's what I did to my exhaust.
The large tail box was removed and only the front and middle boxes remain, there was no appreciable increase in noise below 60mph.
(Yes they did sell Landrovers in that brown colour{never a popular colour})

Cool. I like the idea the ECR is fianlly offering some of it's tricks to the D-90 public. Given their reputation, I think it was a very wise move. Just got my NRP for the V8, but a tdi conversion may be in the near future. Just starting to look into it.

Does anyone know what the "official" word is on NRP? I keep hearing back and forth...

It's odd too, cause in May they made my straight through muffler for my rig. Called them up and they made it within a few days. Seemed like no big deal and they had plenty of work going on.

I think UPS is a little bit darker, but the paint may be faded from the sun, I thought the green wheels are what really set it appart.

So why is it that there are not any shops in your areas that do mandrel bent exhausts? I know of a few shops by me that do it, and I live in a small city (100k people). How much is one of these systems going to cost from ECR?

ECR said that NRP is done making them so they will be offering them instead.

I thought Mikes truck was brown / blue which was some sort of urban camo color

Hey, I just looked at the wheels, they match the color (colour) of the siding... and the brown is almost the same as the paver stones.

For a TDi it would be nuts to shel out the $$ for one of these. I have a 3 inch no muffler exaust, built for $180. Just cut it off near the e-brake and aim it down. Simple, with no restriction.

Not bad at all! Thats the best part. It is louder than with the muffler but only when I am flooring it, the rest of the time, including freeway cruising, it is not any louder. Plus, the engine really came to life after I put it on. I noticed more power and a slight drop in EGT. Plus, there is no muffler to destroy.

Here are a couple pics. These are actually old, I moved the end of the pipe to the left and cut it off shorter. I did this because I was getting some soot on the trailing arm. Now it hits nothing and I have never had one whiff of exaust in the cab.
