I do my best to be cordial and to never be rude but I don't go out of my way to befriend or associate with these guys. These more-is-better owners and their clone trucks are completely boring to me. I've given up getting angry about people trashing beautiful trucks. This era was inevitable with the advent of the 25-year old Defender. For every one of these glam atrocities being sold on some website, there's a beautiful white 110 in some guy's garage somewhere. It has patina and County stickers on the paint, and a 2.5NA under the bonnet. He loves it and uses it for practical things. He doesn't frequent this site and you'll certainly never read about this guy and his truck on Uncrate, but I'm really happy that he's out there and keeping it pure.
This, there will always be a bolt on market for guys who want to ride a rig with more $$$ in flair then frame.

Agree 1000% with the comment regarding contributing to the community, guys like Ash and Brian build trucks and share answers when they can.

If I see a JK defender rolling I'm hating because they're just atrocities and an insult to anyone spending their weekends trying to get their trucks lashed together enough to have a drive about.

Opinions are like assholes, and for most of the guys on this board the holy grail is still an ECR factory correct build. For the JK defender crowd there are a number of builders to suit your needs, let the market dictate demand. I just don't have to like it

Really Barry? If anyone is a spoon it would be you. I made this post because , even though I might not like their builds, I am happy that US companies can make money in the Land Rover community.

Good for you Elliot and Tom.

I fully admit I jumped right in there. I just never would have posted it to begin with.

I'm glad they can make money too. It's just not a build most people on here take seriously nor is the marketing based on the responses they got.

If they want to contribute to the board like ecr or safari or DNW does I'm sure it would be appreciated.

The guy working on it is probably drinking Paix Dieu and getting as close to liquor drunk as you can be without drinking any liquor...

I know I really need to get up there and supervise the work. Next thing you know he will be gluing those Kahn fender thingy dingys on and fitting several 52" light bars and I'm really trying to keep the price down.

The powder coating on the sliders is flaking off from when I step on them to get in the truck.
I was going to go with Terra Firma at first but decided on Overtyme Fabrication, RTE and OME for the suspension.

We have a truck just purchased from these guys for $85k at the shop right now... It has a Harbor Freight winch!

If you are a purist that's great, I bet your truck is the best LR in the world.

Good looking 110. Don't think twice about any of this hating, these guys aren't your customers anyway.
+1. Why all the hate from guys that will never buy one of these rigs anyways? Don't LIKE what ECD is doing? Tough shit. Don't buy one.

If a vendor is screwing people I'm all about trashing them on the internet. ECD seems to actually be delivering nice trucks and you guys still trash them?

Keep building trucks and marketing ECD!! Don't listen to these guys.

What truck is that? I cannot recall 1. Selling a truck recently for $85k and 2. Ever buying a winch from Harbor Freight...Are you sure it was from us?

This is amazing. ECD has brought back the NAS defender. They can build you one in 12 weeks! Built on demand!

Where do I sign up to have them "build" one.
Wonder where they got cages and how they are titling them as 94, 95, 97s

Refreshed...maybe
Restored... possible but doubtful
Built...such marketing nonsense. Talk about twisting words.
