Donate for brain cancer patient.

Good morning to all. I have never done this so bear with me. I have a very dear friend who has been diagnosed with brain cancer. Prognosis is very slim for him. Mike is a great friend that I consider a brother from another mother. Part of my Colorado family. Please help him out in his time of need. No contribution is too small. We are looking to offset some of the costs that insurance doesn't cover. We have a small goal of $5000. We are almost half way there already.
Thank you to each and every one of you for you time and contributions.
Abe

I long ago learned that cancer is also a massive kick in the finances. Deductibles co insurance lost income for the patient and care givers.
Thank you for sharing.

I posted this on the other site, but it’s worth repeating here:

Brain cancer is a horrible diagnosis. My wife passed away from a brain tumor in 2009 after a four year battle, 10 different clinical trials in Bethesda, surgery, radiation, and two biopsies. Originally diagnosed as an oligodendroglioma, but soon determined to be an anaplastic astrocytoma. I watched helplessly as she degraded from the vibrant, beautiful woman who won multiple fitness awards to a full coma and death. I post this not to be disrespectful or for pity or to scare good people. I post it as a call to action for those who care to support this man and his family when they need it the most. Donation made.

As many of you know, I lost my 5 year old son to brain cancer in October of last year. Diagnosis to death was 11 days and it basically came out of the blue. We were “lucky” that my active duty military tricare insurance paid for everything. I could not imagine having to come out of pocket for medical Bills on top of everything else. Very glad to be able to help support a member of this community that needs it.

Mike D is a fighter and is very strong willed so that really helps.

Wow. As I get older I realize just how silently most of us suffer through personal hardship and how many of us have been touched by tragedy. Thanks for sharing your stories.
