All dogs are awesome truly... but sometimes I wonder if there are dogs, and then there are Great Danes... amazing creatures, and their size is just a small part of it.

He is 110% Great Dane. They truly are a breed apart.... Funny thing about Danes is that there not aware of there size or power. Truly gentle giants but they can open up a can of whoop ass if needed. My older one tore up a pit bull when he was 2

I here you on the gentle giants. I have a 5 year old Bernese Mountain Dog we have had since he was 8 weeks old. Not quite as big as a Great Dane but he is large and thinks he is a lap dog. Not mean at all but he sounds like a bear when he goes off.(his name is Yogi). If he really got mad I always wonder if I could actualy stop him if he did not want me to.

Beautiful Dane and Berner. Ain't nothin' like a big dog. Here's an update on my two. That's Boudreaux on the left and Amelie on the right. And yes, she's a lapdog too.

Very nice!!! Were kicking around the idea of getting another Dane. Baggy misses his brother. We had to put him down last christmas. It was almost as painfull as loosing a child....

He was 11 years old, 9.5 when this pic was taken

Beautiful. I love the Harlequin Great Danes. I know how you feel. We had to do the same for our 11.5yo girl (my avatar) a couple weeks ago.

He was a Mantle, the opposite of a Harley... His Father set the AKC standards for the breed designation. They used to be called Bostons.... For a Great Dane Harly Bitch to throw Harley Pups she has to mate with a Mantle Sire... Harly on Harly will make some genetic throwbacks...
