Ok

I'll play.

Here are some pictures my old dog "Queen."

You can see from the first picture that he was a real beauty-queen, unfortunately I accidentally left him in the microwave a little too long (my Mack-n-Cheese was burning) for his post-bath pre-kibble snack.

I felt pretty bad, but I don't think his self esteem was affected in any way.

I just got a pup a few months ago, but the story behind him goes way back and involves a nameless man in a D90.

About 5 years ago (long before I ever had my truck), I went wheeling with my best friend Adam Ross (White '97 disco) in Mont Eagle with the Land Rover Nashville crew. When we get to the bottom of the trail to stop for lunch, the passenger side door to one of the Defenders on the outing pops open and out flies this little mop-looking ball of pure energy. I had never seen a Puli before, but that day, I vowed that after I got my truck (4 and a half years later) I would get a dog just like that to ride along with me.

Puli's are pretty amazing animals, and if you've never seen one fully grown, you're missing out. I have never seen another one in person, and to this day I don't know the name of the guy that owned that dog or where he was from, but if you're out there, you should know that I bought a Puli all because of you.

He's only ridden in my truck once, and that was to PetSmart, but he does very well in cars, and loves to stick his head out the window.

So, without further ado.... here's Marley now, and what he'll look like in a few more months:

Here is my girlfirend holding my 12 week old tri-color sheltie pup. Sadly he hasn't ridden in the rover yet.

They are very similar. Pulis also come in white, but are rather rare. Komondors also get quite large. Marley shouldn't get much more than 20-25 lbs. and he will top out at about 18" at the shoulder.

When he gets in the truck, he wants to stay in there all day and some times I just leave him in the driveway with the door open and he sleeps all afternoon in the truck... Like fater Like son Hunter will also swim forever if you don't pull him out of the water...

If he lokes the water and the rover so much bring him with next time we get Hippert stuck in the 5 foot deep mud hole. He can swim the tow strap out to mike.

Bob Marley, Rasta Locks, Peter Tosh, Ziggy. Cool Dog. Which end barks?

Follow-up Post:

DJ...That is some funny S%^T LOL

I have two Labs. Booger and Cindy. When they're not tunneling through drywall, they love riding in anything. Let them in my D once. Chewed through their leashes, ate a seatbelt, and one of them either ate a new clutch slave cylinder I had on the floor board or tossed it out of my ST. Still waiting to see which one did it.
No PICs of them in any vehicles until they turn 3 years old, or until I can assign one of my kids to guard them with a 2X4 while I get the camera. These two are the fastest, smartest...most destructive dogs I have ever seen. I've only heard of two dogs that ate more metal (Huge German Shep. and an Alaskan Malamute) Good thing I fell in love with them quick. 8 months to go...

Oh yeah, I'm countin' the days too. Darling little Amelie has so far: chewed on the headrest in the 110, chewed the pad off the bottom of the 90's rear seat, chewed up the 90's rear door handle (!), chewed up the tongue of my leather tele boots, ate the sheepskin trim off my Sorrels, ate the toe of my brand new road biking shoes, chewed up a pair of Keenes, chewed up the moulding in the door jam and chewed through the 2x4 on the bottom of the deck railing. I'm sure there's more, but thats all I can think of off hand.
