Great that you maintained your composure around them. In this incident, unfortunately, it sounds if it was a little bit of both. Chows and German shepherds are on top 10 ten list.
Please don't misunderstand my prior post. Over the years my buddies had German shepherds, Doberman Pinchers, and Mastiffs. My college GF had a massive uncut Akita (glad he was not the alpha...). All great dogs that I've been around that also make the list. But would l let my kids or two dogs be around a pitbull? Sorry, no. It is not 100% the owner.

Thank you all. I am trying to figure out a way to cheer my mom up.

This is such a great group of people. We are all lucky to have something like this.
Thanks and regards
Abe

Ice cream and a Land Rover ride!

Seriously, I have no idea. It's hard to cheer somebody up after something like this happens. Perhaps dinner and a movie to divert her thoughts?

Thank you all. The Bell family has lost it's faith in humanity.
If any of you would like to send a card to her I will buy each and everyone a beer.
