Red face Does watching ppl fumble around for the door and window latch make you laugh?

For some reason people who ride in the D90 can never figure out how to get out of the D90. (Always fumbling in the dark for that latch) Or figure out how what to do first, turn the knob or slide the window open, or slide the window only 3/4 of the way then turn the knob arghhh or they try to lock the door from the inside thinking it'll lock after you slam the door. At first it used to crack me up, but now I'm like "hold on, lemme do it for you, <jump out of the truck and deal with said issue> Does this make u guys laugh or does it piss you off? Or mabye Im just losing my cool over a non-issue.

Its annoying... same thing happened with my Porsche 993. the door handle is practically hidden in the arm rest and no one could ever get out but at least it was easier to reach across and open it for them.

With my ST windows you have to "unlock" them first (duh), but then in order to get the rear part to slide forward you have to first slide the front glass a little to the rear...so far the only passenger who regularly remembers these steps is my gf.
What I don't like is that people forget so many parts are NLA or a PITA to get, so when they knock their knees on my AC when they're jumping in, I'm often only sympathetic toward the truck.

If I ever pass out at the wheel and wind up in a lake, whoever is riding shotgun is pretty much toast too. Nobody can figure out how to get out. I never tell them, I just sit there and watch them fumble for however long it takes.

I'm actually thinking about putting a surface mount bright white LED bulb right over the latch, kinda like what the LR4 has, what do you guys think? Only issue is finding out a way to tie it to the ignition so that it goes on when the turn the key is off and then goes off after like 30 seconds. I have to lock my D90, I got a 700 alpine 7" flip screen, 2 amps, 15" sub, rear tv monitor, my pistola :D

I like when I park in a parking garage the attendant NEVER knows how to turn on the lights or where the ignition is.

Unless they are from Africa which happens quite a bit.....then they just want to talk about the truck and how much they love them and how they learned to drive with one...

Why you need RS door cards!

Try having a RHD! I'm always asking people if they want to drive as they open my door.

What's that like at drive-through ATMs or drive through in general? I find it all sucks and I have LHD! The ATMs are too low to the ground (or at least the card insert is), or the tray for soft drinks at McD's is too wide for the sliding window (mind you I only get drive through on road trips).

somebody on here tried to go through a drive thru backwards in a LHD. I would love to see pics of that!

I am sure you can find one of those dimmers on ebay or a junk yard.

Sometimes there is a double take or even a very quick half leap over the window counter just to make sure they are seeing correctly when i drive the RHD 109. Bank drive throus do suck and have been tempted more then once to drive in reverse. (one day I will thou) There is a place down on the shore here called Circus drive in, where they server you at the window of your car. The tray holder never works correctly cause its designed to work with side window glass and not be sitting on a galv strip on the door, lol. For those to old or too young check out the photos to see what I mean. They use to wear roller skates

I know someone that went to the drive through back in reverse. I find that bank tellers do not have much of a sense of humor. A friend of mine broke the door handle on my 109 trying to get in when it was locked. WTF.

Always a good time watching people try to find the interior door handle on the series truck. Or watching chicks try to climb in and out of the lifted 90...

I explain "it is like a gate on a fence, handle is in the same place inside and out and you lift up."

Then people get it.

Sliding windows is a whole other matter. I just leave the passenger side one unlocked.
