Does anyone else miss laying on the HORN?

Jackass cut me off today and really felt the need to lay on the horn, Pushing in the switch just isn't the same!
Not to mention I haven't hooked my horn back up yet!

I don't think I've ever used the horn on the defender... Don't ever plan on it.

I drive with my pinky on the horn. In the bavaria I end up squirting the windscreen wipers all the time because I think it is the horn.

LOL...I was wondering why my horn sounded like a tiny little anemic motor. Then I saw the blue stuff all over the windscreen. Of course the opposite has happened too, trying to clear the screen and wind up honking the horn. There is no good hand gesture to show the person in front of you that it was not intended for them.

I want a horn here, here, and here.
You can never find a horn when you're mad.
And they should all play `La Cucaracha'.

Loud and obnoxious. Generally you know when you've done something wrong on the highway. Don't need 5 people beeping at you to let you know... I like to chill out behind the wheel.

Chilling out behind the wheel in NYC will literally gurantee you to be late for basically everything. The perfect car for NYC is a Baja Trophy Truck with air horns. I mean the suspension would deal with the condition of the roads. It's fast from 0-60 so I can finally make those yellow lights and the the straight piped v8 would really help everyone get teh hell out of the crosswalk.

I use my horn a lot. For example, when a-hole is looking for a parking spot and is driving 5 mph when their are ten cars behind them and an ambulance but htey won't pull over to let anyone pass. I'm laying on the horn. WHen i'm going through an instersection and everyone decided to step into the cross walk with Ipods on. I'm hitting the horn so someone knows there is a car coming even though I have a green light. Or my personal favorite the right turn signal/left turn combo. that gets the horn too. However I agree, the horn is anbnoxious noise to innocent pedestrians on the sidewalk who are not combatants in the tarmac video game that is NYC driving which is why I use the ARB front bumper as much as possible.

In Latin America they use horn toots like a language. It is like morse code, that and headlight blinking. If you don't know the lingo then it can be hard. Most of the horn use there is friendly, the light flashing means "I don't care if I am on the wrong side of the road. my car is bigger than yours.

My wife is from Nicaragua - In her mother's old truck they installed a remote push button relay for the horn so it was easier to reach and press.

I have always been tempted to buy an air horn for the 110.
Check out this one from eBay, and click on the YouTube sample.

I worked with a guy that put one on his Dodge PU. He would mess with people crossing the street all the time!

Yeah not what I'd go for. Not that I'll be adding them anytime soon.
