RWD vs 4wd, it's definitely possible.

Nice! But a rear locked 4x4 in low vs. an open 4x2 with an empty bed? Easy pickins.

Looks to be a Td5?

It is real and it's logical it's real imo.
Not for a mechanical reason, but for a psychological one.

Are you sure the dodge is 2wd? It sure looks like at some points in the video that smoke is coming off the left front tire.

Range Rover Sport vs Power Wagon:
Jeep Cherokee vs Disco II:
Raptor vs. Range Rover: (for this one, I had verified that the empty weight of the Raptor was more than the Range Rover (not sure what "empty weight" means, so I assumed this was how much weight on the tires)
110 vs Massey Ferguson:

I doubt this tug of war game really proves anything... I bet whoever gets lucky enough to start moving first will win most of the time. The other person would have to overcome the inertia, momentum, and friction to stop you. Perhaps someone that actually took physics can do the math.... please?

Ok, so I watched it again last night. Looks real enough but I have to wonder why the 4x4 dodge didn't have the truck in 4wd mode. I'd say that if he did, the result would be different. It's a 7,000lb truck with 1,200lbs of motor over the front axle.

None the less, I agree with Jafir, what does it really prove?

Mostly comes down to traction.. If you have enough power to pull and have more traction you win. And the whole whoever gets the first pull thing too..

I would bet that for asphalt, RRs on street tires have way more grip than pickups with AT's.. Especially trucks who sit there and spin their tires. That disco was sitting in grassy sand while the cherokee was sitting in plain sand. so no surprise there.

low range, get the jump, don't break traction = win.

As previously stated there is no weight over the rear of the cummins, its a long truck without posi and it 2wd, seemed to be an automatic, In 4x4 it would have pulled the rover around, driven both a diesel defender and i have a cummins, i highly doubt that the cummins if it could put its power down would lose. And yeah, i never really understood what the tug of war proved.

I own both those trucks (no tdi in my rover) and there is no way that my Defender would pull my Dodge if both were in 4wd. The Dodge weighs almost 8k empty and the Defender is, what 4.5k?
Even in 2wd if you threw 500lbs in the back of the Dodge it would win.
I cant tell what tires are there, but looks like MT's on the Dodge.
