I can see the commercial now. "Let LUCAS do the driving for you! "

Interesting to see it in something beyond a cgi scenario. I wondered if they were serious about that or not with the discovery concept. Perhaps they were.

Sorry. I should have texted something witty like "my 110 rolls out of parking spaces with the parking brake on while in gear too like that without assistance from any app"

If you look at the self driving cars coming out, yeah, they are serious.

My nightmare scenario is that vehicles like our Defenders and such will be severely legally restrained in the not too distant future. We will all be forced to have them registered as classics, limited to non-city driving, etc.... etc.....

I love tech and all, this is cool, but I dread it at the same time.

I do my own spotting already. It's called recon.
Really, what's the point of having a vehicle that can go almost anywhere if you're not going to be in it but stand there and watch? Takes the fun out of it.

It's an expanded version of ford and it's auto park...last year's rover included a heads up display or a front and side mounted cameras when of roading, side cameras give you the opportunity of seeing where the tire is while looking at the windshield...
Just technology and another gadget to fail when you need it the most.

This works great until you get a phone call and hit the wrong button to dismiss it and run yourself over.

If I can remote start it and control it, then I'd never have to walk to my car in the rain ever again. I can only assume it only works from about 3 feet away from the car though.

Add in gps, lane change, adaptive cruise control... And you get something as exciting to ride in as a monorail
