Never in my life did I ever imagine that Land Rover would pursue, of all things, wanting to differentiate itself from it's competition through electronic innovation. It's a tragically epic fail of the concept of core competence.
every additional button and do-hicky added also raises the risk of a statistical reported failure on consumer reports. i would rather see Land Rover/Range Rover pursue investment in those engineering activities that focus on off road capability, reliability, durability.
It was embarrassing that overland journal ranked the Defender 110 last out of the "Big 5" in the latest edition. primarily on durability and reliability. but it was predictable.
