Do you own one of the first 1987 Range Rovers??

@LandRoverUSA put out a tweet a couple of days ago looking for anyone who owns one of the first 1987 Range Rovers sold or knows someone who does? They want you to tweet them a photo and share some details.
They weren't specific but I am sure they are interested in things like how long it has been sitting around in the back yard, how many upper tailgates you have replaced on it, what still works, what your ex-wife said the day you drove it home...the usual kind of stuff ...I say have some fun with it!!!

I say if you own one, let them know your LR Dealer quit servicing it years ago, so you've been bringing it to your independent mechanic whose former name had the word "Rover" in it, and that without that mechanic, your Classic would be long gone at this point.

We located the one we sold last summer that seems to be the one they wanted, or so LRNA indicated. Funny part is we were contacted early last week, got them the info after chatting with the owner, then they post the 'tweet' or whatever this week- kinda like having the answer when the question was asked.

Ron- it was very solid and pretty decent, but very early VIN, and apparently they are after the earliest one they can find, or so I was told. And it was from Ca, so who knows who the orig owner was to boot.
