Do you live in/around NYC and have Boost wheels?

So, I live in NYC and have Boost wheels - you know the type: 5 spokes, square relief, found on the 1998 Discovery LSE in the US, and now sold installed on Defenders from the factory everywhere else around the world. Most love 'em, some hate 'em, some envy 'em, and if you live in/around NYC, you probably have them installed.

Raise your hand if you live in NYC (or surrounding areas) and have Boost wheels on your Defender, and post up a photo if you feel so inclined. If not, let us know when you plan on getting some. haha

I saw the boost-wheels-only meet-up for Wednesday, but I have a doctor's appt scheduled for that night. I'll see if I can get out of it, but my car is out in the boonies for the next 2 weeks anyway, since I was so nice as to bring another car in for my gf to use for the next few weeks... so, that's in my garage instead right now.

Jason, how do you like the look of the boosts so far? Improvement? About the same? I like them on your truck!

wait... who were the founding members? I had to figure out that those were the 98 DI LSE rims that were the same as the ROW Defender alloys at the time. I had to research that while Horsey was driving around in his dad's nut sack in the back of a Honda Accord!

I poured that kool-aid half a decade ago for all you copycats...soooo you all own me a beer next time at happy hour http://www.discoweb.org/forums/showt...eferrerid=6758

But like Jeff said... the NAS110s look better so im going with those now when the Tdi goes in.

Rides a bit smoother ... More likely because just had wheels rebalanced. They look better and now match my desk model.

The boost thing I will never understand.

I very briefly tried to accumulate five different alloys to run on the same truck. Freestyle, castor, 1995 SWB, 1995 LWB, and 1997/98 LE.

I also like the steel wheels, wouldn't mind having a set of boosts though.

I may have a set of 5 with lugs for sale very shortly. Been sitting around the garage in boxes never even used them, and now with the new toy I've got to start clearing space.
