DIY cubby box

Has anyone ventured building a wood/steel custom cubby box? I am thinking about building one out of teak

Cool. Looking to build one. Thinking of using either woodworking or 3d plastic printing and covering in wood veneer... Pics (and if you have any plans!) would be most appreciated!
Gracias compadre!

I know! I built some parts that I couldn't find for an old porsche in nylon with a 3D printer and they turned out awesome. So now I;m thinking: I hate my stupid generic cubby with zero character and sharp edges. Why not build a sleek, functional one?

Manuel -- do send pictures of both please when you can!
