Discovery II

How well do yall think the Disco II would fair in a roll over? I have seen a couple of photos of DI's but nothing related to the DII.

Off road or on road? ACE, or non ACE?

Off road I took my DiscoII up to 43 deg. side tilt w/o a problem. On road, I was able to do 94 mph in a 35 mph curve. No kidding, I have witnesses. However, this is with ACE Disco, the back end drifted a little but I had a perfect control over the truck. Oh yeah don't attempt this as I went to high speed/control schools, both here and overseas

Phil, from the pics I've seen. They fair really well. In fact, surprisingly so. I would imagine the disco2.com site would have some pics of wrecked trucks.

good deals on the D2 right now, 4500 off sticker
SE 39350 now 34850
S 34950 now 30450

there is less then 100 discoverys at the ports, once those are gone, the discount goes away
LR3 orders are going to be placed on the 20th of the month, 90 after you will see them.

I know, I have found a few S models with less than 10k miles for under 29k so I think we will just get a "pre-owned" truck from Bear Valley or the local Dealership. thanks for the info.

I drove by a rolled D2 on the freeway and the roof held up fine. I didn't actually see it rollover but from the looks of it, it skidded on the roof for at least 15 feet. Passenger survived it well I saw him talking to the CHP, fortunately he didn't have any kids with him. It was a reassuring feeling to see the roof didn't collapse, but then again you never know how bad the accident was?

dealers have ex service loaners,04 S model that you can pick up for 27650, the ones at bear valley are ex rentals from hertz and enterprise. I would go with a dealer not bear valley, they cant get the same incentives like the dealers.

example on my inventory, 03 S, with 11-13k miles 24900
04 S with 4-6k miles 27650

Interested in a Blue '99 D2 with 80K on it for @ $9000? Used to my D2 and the guy selling it now was the fellow who bought it from me. It's in fantastic shape.
