Disco G4 Help

I'm helping a friend out on this one. Says he's looking at a G4 Disco. The question is if this thing is the real deal or not. If so, anybody have any idea on what this thing is worth?

It's a real one. Looks like the left rear corner under the tail lights has been stuffed. Looks like a dent, and part of the bumper trim from the top portion of the bumper is missing.

Biggest thing to find out is service history if you can. Weak spot on these is the potential for a cracked block with the 4.6. (Issue I have on my G4. I'm looking at replacing it with a Td5) Front U joint being not servicable and right next to the cat is a problem too. They usually get cooked, and the best option is to replace with a greaseable unit. 12MPG kinda sucks too.

Anyhow, it's a real one. Curious what they are asking for it.

You can get a 4.0 block and just swap all your internals into it and problem solved..the 4.0 block was a much better block before they cut the amount of aluminum out in the 4.6 disco blocks..
