Disco 2 Question

Disco guys; ball park, what would a a nice, (but not perfect), base 2002 Disco (no sunroofs), black, totally stock, 4.0, 76,000 miles with a bad head gasket reasonably be expected to go for?

Neighbor kid has the truck, doesn't want to fix it, wants to sell for $4,000. Told him I thought that was high given the HG problem; (but also told him I had no experience with Discos.)

I'm not interested in the truck, just trying to help him not make a fool of himself by posting too high a price for it on DWeb. (Thinking about the recent $44,500 2004 Disco for sale...)

Thx.

I would say $3,000 or less... There are trucks that are perfectly good going for $4k, and my truck with almost a new engine and $10k in off-road stuff isn't getting nibbles at $7k.

I bought a 99 DII for $500 with the same issues but that was a steal. Still I'd say no more than $1500 but I'm a cheap bastard. P.S. I'll buy it for $500.

You should raise the price to $44k.

3k ask is right.

$2500 sale if it really is the head gaskets. $1500 if it is the engine.
