GM 6.2 eh, that would be the duramax for the silverado you can do some crazy mods from banks performance that can put out some ridiculous power.

I think the older na GM diesals were 6.5???

The 6.2 is older than the 6.5. The Duramax is a newer engine built with Isuzu.

The 6.2 and 6.5 is used in the Hummer. They are building a detuned 6.5 that might be nice for conversions. Turbo's and upgrades are available.

Yup, just like Mike said, the newest is the 6.6 Duramax and it has allot of upgrades to it. If you have not sen what can be done to some diesels (well really all it's just a matter of aftermarket support or how much $$$$ you want to spend) check out Gale Banks stuff
