Derelict

It is hard not to notice the press ICON's 48' Buck "Derelict" is receiving. It is everywhere. Even when it thrashed a new Lamborghini in a autocross at SEMA. If high end restomod/hotrod drivetrains on classic vehicles while maintaining its original patina is the next thing, hold on to your original Series. They have the best patina around. I see their values jumping for these conversions.

Funny that you say the press it's getting is hard to ignore as Jonathan was complaining about the lack of press outlets interested in the car. Pretty cool ride - based on everything else he does it's probably $150-200k though. Good point about the Series - would make a nice derelict.

When I met Jonathan back in '11 he was daily-driving his Desoto/Chrysler Derelict wagon. It had a 6.1 Hemi and a 6spd on an Art Morrison chassis..that thing was slick. I imagine it's getting harder by the year to find suitable candidates that aren't bastardized or full of holes.

Not as much of a problem if Cuba really opens up.

Thinking his Derelicts have hit most of the big auto shows (SEMA), cable auto TV shows (Leno, Topspeed, SpeedfreakTV, etc.), car and financial magazines (Motor Trend, Autoweek, Hot Rod, Bloomberg, Esquire etc.) and web blogs. Even this silly comparison of a Derelict wagon to an AMG E63. Mercedes E63 AMG Wagon pitted against Icon Derelict
Must have a full time PR on staff.
