Exactly, it takes time (for the Irish it took 150 years) for a group to lift itself up. While catholic Kennedy was catching blows for being a pope puppet Irish gangs were running Southie and good, honest, folk steered clear.

Yeah the violent among the protestors are getting what they want. Nothing left to loot though, not sure how much longer they will keep up the 'Demonstration'

I'm surprised no one has chimed in that the police should have been train to aim better. Again, until someone had been in that situation and fortunately I have not.
People here in Austin would have been all over Chief Acevedo for his officers killing a child. They'd be chanting and holding signs that said "baby killer"

The article I had posted, at the time, did not know who had shot the child. Interesting to know it was not an officer. (Unless it's being kept secret to prevent another Ferguson. Oops. That just slipped.)
What kind of monster kills their own child?

It appears that the poor black community's demonstrations are backfiring on them. Seems support is rapidly growing for officer Wilson. Even selling t shirts. I tried to order one but they had already run out.

Unfortunately the officer has had the opportunity to metabolize .... the kid doesn't have that opportunity.

I would imagine that in this sort of instance blood would have been drawn for investigation purposes from the cop as well as the "kid"..

Thank goodness kid is relative to age and not size and demeanor.

If proper protocol was exercised, the department would have tested the officer almost immediately.
If one of the employees under my supervisor has an incident, it's "Get in the car. We're off to the clinic."
But then we work around aircraft all day long. Much of it is required by the DOT.

Tasty too. But that belongs under cooking.

Could we move this thread under cooking now?

EXCLUSIVE: Darren Wilson, the Ferguson, Mo., police officer whose fatal shooting of Michael Brown touched off more than a week of demonstrations, suffered severe facial injuries, including an orbital (eye socket) fracture, and was nearly beaten unconscious by Brown moments before firing his gun, a source close to the department's top brass told

Plot is getting thick. I wonder if this is going to move past the Grand Jury...

And as long as certain ethnic group use violence and looting as a means of getting their message across, no one will take them seriously. And the perception of them being a violent breed will persist. The truly innocent ones who make something of them selves also suffer, such as ones that become portfolio managers, TV anchors, doctors, and so forth.

The "kid" was 18 years old and more than likely larger and physically stronger than most members of the Ferguson police force. If you are going to debate your argument comes off stronger using facts instead of emotion.

Was written in haste ... yep use of kid is wrong. But equally are you able to point to any facts that support your emotive claim that strength of the dead person is in fact greater that that of the local police force.
