Defenders Direct Ltd Introduction

Hi

I'd like to introduce myself-

I've just left the British Army and one of my passions is Landrovers; as such, I'm making it my mission to provide excellent examples from Europe for the US market.

We only provide genuine vehicles, usually LHD, in good condition from across Europe and further afield. It's my intention to ship all vehicles across to the USA before selling, we will carry the customs risk and cover all costs of shipping in order to provide clients with piece of mind and purchases without delay.

As with my last role, integrity is a key principle in our operation - I know it has been lacking with some in this business - we have a network of trusted agents across Europe and continually develop links in the USA. Our first vehicle is now clear titled in the USA, I used this as a test to understand the process, characters and frictions involved.

We welcome any interest from prospective clients, agents and the trade and hope you are content with my occasional questions as I learn the US market and join this community.

Dogger welcome to the board. Obviously with recent events this is a sensitive subject and an interesting time to be getting into the US market.

You are more than welcome to register as a vendor.

Please feel free to share some more details but be aware we have many people join the board making grandiose claims about their business experience and intention and sol there is often some vocal skeptics.

Thanks Leastonce - I understand the issues and people are welcome to their concerns - I've done my research and have some excellent, original vehicles in the system now.

Post some pictures of defenders on your local moors and the hecklers will start to warm up.

I spent a few years in Skipton and the surrounding area ... Real land rover country!

Will, welcome aboard, and wish you all the best- we need some 'good' new blood. Please don't disappoint, as it in effect waters down the very credentials you post initially.
Good luck!!

We're a bit north of skipton but I have some good photos if I can work out how to post them-

I won't disappoint! We're already well down the line but I didn't want to introduce myself until I was sure of things.

I'm just waiting for the rain to stop so I can photo the latest one, it's not good for sales to see Yorkshire weather in the photos.

I know Jonesy, I have a couple of great ones for your market but I can't wait for 110's all day. 90s are way more popular here!

Just an FYI but I see most of the flack here seems to result from sellers posting the foreign ad's photos (not their own) in their for sale ads here for 6x what they bought it for just a few hours before on ebay.uk. There are lots of enthusiasts who follow a ton of foreign and domestic markets, so many of the vehicles are already known when they come up for sale here.

There will always be an element of this, sometimes, but rarely, from me. That said, if you would like to buy on trust in europe, pay and wait for the shipping, cross your fingers for customs and register it in the USA then you are welcome to pay 6x less for vehicles.

Our vehicles won't be over the top but there is a price on taking all that risk but it isn't 6x!
