Defenderless in Savannah

Well, for the first time in 6 years I am without a Defender. With the birth of my daughter, I've come to the realization that the Defender just wasn't going to work as my day to day vehicle. I've owned 3 over the past years, and they have all served me well. I will eventually get another one in the future, but for the mean time I have taken in a nice Disco II that meets my current needs and still allows me to get my off-road fix.

It is a cool truck. I am just pissed that I spent a grand on my d90 yesterday.

Ron is right, this sort of language is very threatening indeed. All it takes is a mere hint of such talk, and the grief will commence. Regardless what the situation is (baby, house, etc), and whether the Rover actually gets sold or not, a price will be extracted. I say, moderator, blot out that sentence - for the sake of everyone.

I guess I got it easy, my wife repeatedly threatens to divorce me if I ever sell the Defender.

Mine too! I've been threatening to ditch my 90 in favor of a diesel 110 Defender I know of and my wife routinely threatens to walk out on me if I do.

I got my 90 after the kids came along and got out of those awful baby seats. But I did buy a Porsche 911 Carrera when my first born was under a year old!!

Cool Trek Will, a decent enough "get by" until you wake up and get back in a 90.

Funny, just this week the Fiance` told me to sell my commuter car and sink all that money into the Defender (i.e. galvanized chassis, diesel engine, Badger top, etc...).

I looked at her, kissed her, and teared up a bit.
She's putting the car in the classified section of the paper she works for this week, so if anyone wants a Jetta...
