Defender spotted in Natural Treasure: Book of Secrets

White, looks like a 5 dr CSW 110, all you see is the cast standing at the back of it while Nicolas Cage takes something out. Too bad it only gets about 30 seconds.

Once you get to the link, scroll down and click on the last title "Chapter 13"

I wasn't sure if it was a 109 or 110...

Just looked at it. It is a 109. Pretty cool. Galvy frame. Looks like a nice truck.

That truck was probably just refurbished for the movie. The galvanized frame and cappings are all very very fresh. I read an article may years ago about the guys who refurbished several series II trucks for one of Jim Carey's Pet Detective movies. They were mildly upset when several of the trucks were destroyed during the filming - they were promised by the producers that trucks would not be damaged. They said they could have provided some trucks that were beyond salvage and just spray them with fresh paint for the destruction scenes.

Have you seen the new movie with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. It has a 109 in the preview.

Earlier in the year, before National Treasure Book of Secrets was released, I came across the 109 on Ebay. They described it as being refurbished for the film in the description. that's when I found out that they were making another movie. It was very nicely done. I immediately sent it into RN's sightings-got published but no mug.

Does anyone know who was responsible for restoring the rover, or perhaps who ended up purchasing it? I am interested in finding out more about the paint color used on the station wagon that appeared in the film.

Can anyone provide me with a link to the expired eBay page? Thanks.
