Horsey,

It's only a matter of time until you are banned from the island for stalking.

Probably true. I wanted to get a better shot of it as it looked super clean, but by the time I rounded the 9th hole he/she was gone.

I imagine Horsey running around the island, oh, I'm sorry, ACK, like Rain Man with a pen and pad of paper taking down notes for his database of defenders that he has at home. And, in true stalker fashion, I'm sure he's pant-less.

Do you think he is making badges for the ROW trucks so he can keep track of them in the future?

Without a doubt...along with a shit ton of photos from every angle, even the underside. I'm sure he has a US map on his wall with pushpins of each of his sightings too.

I picture him chasing the owners with his short legs and a giant branding iron. He has to mark each and everyone for his database.

Sadly, I think Horsey has seen more wheeling in that LR3 than you and your truck have ever seen.

Never said I did. Good burn though. You should post about how I don't wheel on the ee board. I was reading your greatest hits on there today. Between ripping on everyone's truck and posting about how awesome your carpet is I have been riveted all day.

#1064 is here at the beach. White ST w/ SW roll up doors, RN by Badger top, and Yakima rack. Was getting some food and didn't have my phone on me. Spoke with the owner, who said he sent it to ECR about 3-4 years ago.

Since I'm leaving Nantucket tomorrow I figured I should get a few more sightings in before I leave. We went to The Boarding House for dinner, and we saw 4 defenders drive by. I got a picture of 1 green '95 SW w/ a girl from NJ driving it, a super clean 109 w/ a bunch of people in it, and when we left I saw 110 #116/500.

I was there two weeks ago (through that P*SSY storm they called a hurricane) and I lost interest in counting Defenders at around 25 sightings or so. The only one that really got me excited was that 130 double cab.
Also saw the Jack Wills 90 at Cisco brewery most days, then later one random night I see the same truck coming in "hot" to one of the rotaries near S&S at around 1:30am. (naw, there was no drinking involved on their part, I'm sure). Nearly pissed myself laughing, picturing those hottie promo girls trying to drive a RHD.
So, I spend nearly two weeks in ACK, plus a 3-day weekend here and there and every time I struggle to downshit to "reality" when I return.

I'm not aware of a greater concentration of Defenders in North America, are you?
I also noticed some other nice, well-restored vintage FJs and Scouts. It's getting to be that if you want something truly unique in ACK, you'll have to go Pinzauar or Mog.

Yes. Not all that special looking in my opinion, though.

moving on from ACK....spotted this today on East Ave. in Norwalk, CT. I was unable to snap a picture of it but knew it was an ECR truck from viewing 90's on their site (I took the picture from the ECR site). Does this belong to anyone here?

Photo taken by my girlfriend at Discovery Park in Seattle. Part of a rescue training exercise. She talked to the owner who apparently bought it new in '97. Anybody here? Looks like Oregon plate and a bunch of galvanized stuff.
