So....is Nantucket this magical land of unicorns, free beer, and a Defender for everyone?

Just saw a green SW with white top on the corner of Sycamore and Shrewsbury in Shrewsbury, NJ. I usually don't post sightings unless there is something a little different/special about them. Not as bad/good as Nantucket but our area has a bunch of NAS rigs. Anyway, this one looked to be a RHD running some 235's. Very clean looking truck so not sure what year - certainly didn't look like an '85 or older. I was in the 'burban as its pissing rain here.

Not sure about that, but it sure does rust them out fast. Image of a truck that is just off island for repairs here at the shop.

Thank God it is now off-island! Hopefully it will stay that way.

I didn't see the back of it. Was making a turn so only saw the front and right side. Will keep an eye out for it tho.

One might make decent living opening up an indy Defender shop on the island.

Am I seeing it correctly - is there evidence of an earlier owner applied duct-tape repair attempt in the photo?

Lots of duct tape, lots of silicone, lots of brown paint, lots and lots and lots of rust.
New bulkhead is already under paint and it will be getting a second chance at life.

Shocked to pull out of my driveway this morning and see this, no more than 6 houses away...very, very, odd. The divorce' who lives there said something about it being her ex-husband's/kid in college's truck. I've never seen it before. #726 for those keeping track. This pegs my little town with 5 identified D-90's.

What the hell were they doing with it? Driving it into the water on the beach and surfcast from it?
