Not sure on the plates, I was heading in the other way and the barrier prevented me from seeing them.

Wife is getting good at taking good Defender pics. If that guy (Utah) is on the board he was probably wondering why somebody in a Van was taking pictures and waving at them....

I've never met Taylor but heard he does a lot of Defender work. Maybe he had to take a truck down south for extended test drive or delivery?

Just saw an ECR NAS 110 leaving my work parking lot. Had HUGE for sale signs in both back windows with something like "Full Body Off Restoration...call 310-XXX-XXXX for details." All white with a galv, late model rear crossmember and white ECR ROX sliders.

Pretty sure it was this one:

Couple of days ago I passed a Green 95-97 90 with white roof, I was driving the disco. I waved, got a quick look in the rear mirror and saw that he had euro/uk(?) yellow tag on the rear of the truck. This happened on Rt35 by that hippie supermarket and south of the library.

That same day, later I was in the parking lot of the shoprite on 36. When I was pulling out of my space I could hear this kid with his mother saying "what a cool jeep" w/big smile and what not. So when I straighten out I told the kid w/a smile that it is Cool and that its a Land Rover and not a jeep. The moms had a good laugh and the red head one started telling me that her husband owned a 97 D90.

Im thinking to myself then how does the kid mistake the 90 for a jeep? Had a short conversation w/the mom and and what have you and then had to get going.

It happens. It's like people say Kleenex when they mean a tissue.

My own daughter sometimes says Jeep after hearing her friends call it that. I really don't care when people call it a Jeep, and always just smile and say thanks. I got a classic "I love your jeep man, go WWII yoooo" from some random dude at a 4 way stop last week when in the series. Cracked me up.

I'm sure we all get the regular "nice Jeep" call, and I, too, just smile and say thanks unless asked about it.

What used to really suck was when my nephews and niece (kids of my former Army brother) used to ask to ride in my "HUMM-V".

My personal favorite event was one morning on the way to work a few months ago in the big red box (97SW). A 3/4-year old kid on the side of the road waiting for a bus with his mom and siblings goes absolutely batshit, bouncing up and down waving, screaming "fire truck! fire truck!". At the time, I'd wished I'd had an air horn, as a wave back seemed inadequate.

Saw a green SW heading north on the Merrit Parkway on Thursday around 7pm while we were heading south from Stowe to NJ in the 'burban. I cannot remember the exit but I don't think we were far from the Sakorsky Bridge. Nice looking truck from the split second view of it, 3 lights on the front bumper/guard, slight lift, guessing 285's tires.
