Haha not my style, but it's a clean rig. Change the wheels and it's back to normal

Oh, for sure. Very clean looking 90. And those Kahns cost real money! Just an odd choice for such a stock looking rig.

Agreed. Also had recaro front seats. I would like to see the owner come out with us and actually use his winch. It's a clean rig that somebody has put some money into. To each their own

A bit better murdered-out on a beluga ST, but not by much. The wheel/tyre/truck proportions just aren't right.

Does this count as a defender sighting? I mean it basically is one. Except it doesn't leak oil or smell like gas.

Did it at least have a matching spare? I always think it looks odd when I see wranglers with really nice tires and a stock spare hanging on the back.

Admittedly I have a nice MTR on a wolf rim hanging on my nice Nakatanenga tire carrier with stock ANR's (I think) with aging Dakar tires. But I was also getting kicked out of my garage for the summer and was back and forth about swapping rims without swapping to longer studs. meh.

Wow that is a huge spare.

I've been out of the Rover world for years... probably since 2005. To me, seeing all this bling on a Defender is like when Marty McFly returns to the alternate 1985 in Back To The Future 2. To each his own... I just don't get it. But... I guess Land Rover started it on the P38 4.6 HSE with 18s in 1996.

Yup. Guilty here, but I like it on my wife's 38 ;-)

Yep, that's a '96... can tell by the exhaust tip. We had a set of the 'Mondale' rims and lugs plated gold for a customer. It didn't work out because the plating kept coming back with fingerprints in the plating... not to mention they looked dull like brass does when it oxidizes.

Every time I see the bollinger, I keep thinking of a lifted Hammerhead Eagle i-Thrust.

Dang! That's crazy. It's actually a '98. Callaway driveline and the exhaust is custom dual Borla. I like symmetry ;-) Thing flies! We call it "Hound" as it is our highway hound freeway car. And I've always thought the P38's looked a bit like dogs. Most just run like one ;-)
