yup, as soon as I read your post I thought of MTX because the lights are defender-ish.

havens51 has some defender spotting competition in Nantucket now

One of my friends arrived in Nantucket less than 24 hrs ago and has sent me the following (2 non-defenders but interesting bonus rigs at bottom)

I am continually amazed at how many Defenders you guys see in those old whaling towns of the East Coast. When I go out and about in our area, I feel lucky if I see one single Defender in a week.

...not counting the ones at the shop.

Go NW young man! Go NW! ;-)

Plenty of Defenders and Series to see in the hills and trendy-third areas of town. Trust me! ;-) Might even spot me someday if I ever get back to my D, lol.

Yeah, going to the trendier parts of town ups the chances.

When we bought our first Disco I, back in 2000, I honestly thing we may have been one of only maybe five Discovery's east of 82nd. Many more now. But the Defender remains very elusive. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that at least half of the population of East County Defenders are members on this site.

My gosh, this is a small island, indeed! I spotted this one yesterday and was walking back to the truck when the green 110 topless you show drove by too quick for me to photograph.
If you think the 110s get attention, how about that Pinz you show? It is just amazing, fully restored. And I mean fully.

I saw the Pinz up close last month - it was perfect. Sweet rig and different from the typical Jeep/Rover everywhere.

I found my first 90 in a Hemmings catalog I bought at a newsstand. The seller was in northern California, was an older guy and had to mail me pictures. It was 1997 and he'd bought it in 94 not knowing he couldn't tow it behind his RV. It had 4K miles and cost $24K.
