All the same owner, but not staged in anyway.
I figure it's about 15 to 1, jeep to rovers on island.

Maaaaan, I loved your old ride! Just right imho. Also, I had never seen anyone else fold back their lights like that, other than myself. Did you have a low garage as well?

I have been thinking the same thing.

I often wonder what is going to happen when the next Defender rolls out. Are the people that have a Wrangler as a spare vehicle going to opt for a Defender because it is different?

Last year the beach town that I go to only had 3 old Land Rovers. 1 NAS (95 I think) and 2 series.

This year my son and I found 2 or 3 more old Land Rovers.

There is still a crap load of Wrangler though and sometimes they belong to owners that already have a RR, RRS and or Disco.

Jeep/Rover Nantucket

I thought about it further and it's probably more like 10 to 1 jeep to VINTAGE rover on island.

Spotted by the Mother in Law at Atlantic Beach, NC. She talked to the owner. Can't imagine what he was thinking when some random lady starts asking him about his Defender.

She then just kept asking me why mine doesnt have the same nice interior and look as nice. I will never hear the end of it now.

Perfect opportunity to tell the wife that you need to make her mother happy. Buy new seats, floor mats, headliner, dash board and steering wheel. Then everyone will be happy.

I counted about 20 Defenders per day over the last 1.5 weeks in the UK. Here are a few: https://www.flickr.com/gp/bhcmbailey/639380

...and a couple of other vehicles as well!

Oh, and a nice little gem inside the gates at Buckingham Palace.
