Spotted this 1995 Soft Top with Florida Plates in Monza Red in Soho Last week, so naturally I had to hop out and snap a pic!

South Sudan is mostly 98% Toyota land cruisers but it seems like the other 3% are mostly land rovers (locally or government owned, NGO and UN is 97% toyotas followed by Nissan patrols and then defenders). The Series IIIs by far beat the Defender on sightings out here beyond the big cities.

The photos are of two series IIIs in Yida Refugee camp. The 109 Wagon got rolled and the Pickup is just sitting there, behind the pickup is an old FJ or whats left of one. #RustFree

There is mid 90s defender 110 sitting in a remote village that I'm trying to source some interior bits from. Super Cheap! Too bad (from what i hear) shipping large items is pretty much economically impossible out of South Sudan.

No vents, so likely Puma.

Based on the bulkhead without vents, I would say it is the real deal.

Edit - Sniped by Josh.

It's got a hood and bulkhead from a Puma.. I would bet it is a Puma....

Looking through the windscreen, the inside of the doors look Puma, as well as you can see a rear door seal....

real deal = vin swap?

It absolutely isn't a 1984/5 as the plate suggests.

Just like my 1988....

Going to leave the crappy plastic off mine, fill the holes, pretend it's a Puma.

Yesterday, turning on to Silverado Trail. Always seen and yet never captured on film! She's fast for her age ;-)

Am I correct in assuming that the gentleman owner of this 130 is fan of certain fictional southern attorney played by a well known North Carolinian?
