Bishop Cali. Nice rig. Dude was converting the entire inside to be a sleeper (he's a climber). Also swapped the tranny to manual.

the land cruiser trucks that are being givin to ISIS are supplied to them by the Saudi Arabians. 100s of them.. or else how could many foriegn fighters from all over the world, that are fighting the proxy war, that are paid by the Saudis to fight could afford these trucks? As a matter of Fact, if you research and see that Saudi arabia is the biggest importer of Toyota trucks on this earth. no one buys these trucks except of saudis..

Since ISIS is fighting the proxy war for Saudi Arabia in the Middle East, it supplies all the tools for them..

The defender 90 that was spotted with ISIS is for sure 1000% gifted by the Saudis.. No Doubt.

Every illicit network, criminal or terrorist utilizes "cut outs" in support of their logistical train to deny sponsorship. Land Cruiser picks ups are all over the Middle East and Africa. Land Cruiser pick ups in Southern Afghanistan are often synonymous with the opium trade as they get used as outriders / security in their convoys moving into Baram shah due to their reliability. Saudis do purchased a bunch along with every other NGO, government agency, and militia force.

Driven all the way from Vancouver BC to Anaheim CA. Only Defender I have seen (other than the one I'm driving) is this nice NAS 90 spotted Friday in West Hollywood on Santa Monica Blvd & Fairfax.

Must have spotted at least 50 Range Rovers in 1 hour along Rodeo drive though...

Headed through Palm Springs to Joshua Tree today... maybe see something there?

Hello Scott,

you are quite right about the number of defenders and range rovers spotted in West Hollywood or Los Angeles areas.. You barely see any Defenders in these areas..

But one thing is for sure,, Have the Best time at Joshua Tree.. be safe

Spotted by my parents while driving from FL to IN couple weeks ago. Not sure where they saw it, but I can see TX plates on the trailer and I did find the for sale ad.

Today in Northern California. I was in disbelief for a second. Not a normal sighting from behind. Grabbed the camera thinking perhaps. Then I saw the wheel arches from afar and knew it. A nice looking globe trotting couple! RHD Puma so I gave the lady co-pilot a thumbs up and got a warm smile in return. Rover on! ;-)

Ha, that one has been spotted about 15 times in this thread. There's also a nice 2-set RR nearby.

I think the link from Ben01 does a good job of explaining this-- these people aren't buying anything, they are taking.
And EVERYone who can afford it buys a Land Cruiser, else a Hilux, generally in white. Leaving aside Camrys, because they aren't utilitarian, it's no surprise that these guys are driving the most common colors of the most common vehicles in that region.
Sure, the cars have a reputation for reliability, but that's why the original owners bought them. The ISIS / Daesh guys would be driving Rancheros if that were common instead!
