I believe they were called "roadless traction vehicles". I think they used Studebaker axles or something similar.

Awesome. Thanks for the link apparently I confused Cuthbertson with the Roadless versions. Very cool. And look Himalaya isn't the only guy putting giant rims on rovers! Can't loose on thirty twos!

Those are diplomatic plates, issued by the State Dept. Some enlightened and lucky foreign diplomat brought that in as their personal ride from whatever country they represent in the US. That lovely 110 will have to follow them right back out again when their posting is over.
