That folks who don't want pictures of their cars posted on a enthusiast's forum are generally trying to hide something from someone....

A tag or vin is one thing, but a picture?, come on....

I can only speak for myself and the only photos I have ever taken issue with were a series of detailed photos with cross streets showing where I was parking at the time.

Subsequently, there is a blog that has about ten photos of my truck parked away from my home and I could care less.

The only reason I chimed in is because asking for a photo to be removed (either through an attorney or directly) is not a big deal.

That the moderators and members of this forum are considerate enough to comply with his request shows why this forum is special.

The owner of the truck obviously did not want the details of his truck on this forum while it was parked at a shop and I don't think that is unreasonable.
A simple PM, email or phone call would have sufficed. But to use an attorney to initiate communication over something so benign speaks volumes about a person. Just another reminder we live in a litigious society. Suum cuique tribuere. Ben, if you feel so strongly about this, here is the truck stripped of identifying information. 1 of 500. With a little homework, perhaps you could pick up another client.

You went back and posted photos of the guy's truck to get even with me for disagreeing with you...interesting.

Your best bet is to hide it in plain sight.

You must have a very fast Defender to be able to drive 9,000,000 miles in only 5 weeks

Actually you are so wrong

I love my privacy and the benefit I provide said privacy to my loved ones

I have voiced in the past how I do think is wrong to take pics of someone's car on their driveway, I am sure if said car gets stolen they day after the pic, a good lawyer could create an argument and you the pic poster might have to be come Lucy

As for Jackie T comment about the GTO, some Defender owners could own other unique toys that they do not care for other to know

Lastly, I petty the bastard that takes the chance to post a pic of my house

If I want to post a pic of my cars, I do it, but not your right to make that decision on my behalf

Nothing to hide, just exercising my right of privacy

I'm going to be more careful, that's for sure. Just in case. Besides, it's way more fun to commit a felony/misdemeanor (depending on state or brashness) by way of trying to capture a pic of a moving target from my camera phone while also driving! ;-)

When you come out to the Яepublik to kick Googles ass, be sure to stop in for a beer. And don't forget Microsoft. I'm sure Lav is the only one who uses Bing, but at that point is more about principle .

Come on Comrade, you know exactly what I meant

How many times forum members post pics of trucks on their driveways showing the plate, mind as well leave the key and a thank you note for the criminals, those are the ones that deserve the ass kicking

Google is not posting on a forum come see this house
