It's totally got to be TC's "Island Hopper" Defender.

Fox News app.

#2 on the list of 31 vehicles we want but can't have. #1 was lame and #6 was the G 4X4 squared with "18 feet of ground clearance!" Ummm, don't think so. And why couldn't we have it if we wanted to?

Cars and trucks we can't have...but definitely want http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/slide...finitely-want/

Does anyone know what that says / means?

It appears to read "Grischuna" but I'm having trouble determining the meaning of that word, or why it's on a Defender!

I was thinking maybe it was the family name. But would be curious if anyone knows more as well.

I saw two today. This one was at North and Clybourn in Chicago.

------ Follow up post added May 21st, 2015 11:04 PM ------

I also saw this one in front of a fancy sports car dealership downtown. It has Minnesota plates and is SW#2277. Turns out the dealership just got it in to sell.

Yes. Even more rare is the fact it has Safari Gaurd written across it.

Defender Sightings

Looks like it was taken out of the rear window with the classic disco3/LR3 shaped window. Plus it'd be hell of a feat driving against traffic on 95 with jeep in your lane. I'd say Paul has awesome co pilots trained to spot & snap D's on the fly.

Consiston Green SW D90 1995 or 1997 in Convent Station at the Exxon or Mobil gas station getting a top end job done. Looked like a random job for the shop. Whose is it? Station owner said a doctor owned it. Didn't have my phone with me.
