That's a Series III "Game" edition:
Land Rover SIII "Game" /// Register of information - Australian Land Rover Owners

Back in the 70's Australia cut a trade deal with Japan and as a result Toyota Land Cruisers became available (and a hit). Leyland's (unsuccessful) response was to counter this with the "Game" edition, there were about 300 produced all mostly the same and individually numbered starting at 100.

Sighted in my mailbox today! An impulse eBay purchase for my son (at least that is what I'm telling everyone ). He is a huge fan of the Disney Pixar Cars movies. I had been wondering for some time if they made a Land Rover toy character and, as it turns out, they did! Allow me to introduce you all to "Maurice Wheelks"! (a fairly obvious reference to Maurice Wilkes, the creator of Land Rover).
