Maybe color will highlight the differences. The new style wraps around the the sides as well.

Now I see it. Thanks.
Why don't people like the new? It seems actually smaller, sleeker and clearly more modern. Not that the old is bad. It just looks bulkier and like it sticks out more.

Still the only ARB I like is the custom modified one:

I like the roof white myself.

I think the ARB looks cool and this is the first newer version that I have seen in person. Bet it's a boat anchor though

Prior to this I would've never considered painting my roof green, but I'm thinking with all the black on green my truck has, plus I have a safari cage, green roof can actually work. It's just different. Total out of the box type non-purist move.

White isn't just for looks. It keeps it cooler. The school busses around here even have white roofs.

True. Tell that to the guys with black roofs!!!!
I hear you though but after all these years with my thick ass black badger top that I never took off in the summers a green roof should be ok (with upgraded ac)

A black roof would be cool. But my defender is blue. And a blue roof would look strange I think.

i'll stick with the old style one i have.. not that hitting stuff with it makes me a believer in the sticking out from the body is a bad thing at all.

Not really digging the new one.. but i do like the high lift pockets built into it though.

Looks better and looks like it would have a better approach angle. I haven't seen one in person, so I'm just basing this one what I have seen online.

I've got a friend that just moved down to the Caymans full time....I've been trying to talk him into getting a Defender for his daily ride.

Look thru window

Spotted a Disco ad on CarTrader.

View thru Disco window shows partial Defender with "support unit" label on front door.

And no, he wont sell. Dang!
