You would cringe if you saw how salty my Defender is right now.

Galvy chassis & bulkhead however...that goes a long way in my book! But I'm with Russell, all my crappy Rovers are safely tucked away in the garage(s).

My galvanised chassis is rusting in two spots.

Where the surface galvy was scraped away from wheeling/etc, or due to the ocean-like driving that is upstate NY in the winter?

How often do we get to park in front of a Defender? Today I parked in front of one. I wonder if he's a member in here.

He's a member on here. I believe you posted a pic of his truck a year or two ago as well when it was on St. Marks Place. ECR build with galv frame, and he had the rack built by Wolf.

Ok, the truck looks different. It's a good looking truck. Many people stop and look at the both of them. Some people took photos. How are you Josh and how's the truck?

I have a friend with a Galvy frame on a 109 and everything around the frame is melting away.... Jackie Treehorn can attest - he has seen the 109 more than me. In the NE rust protection is more important than diff guards, rock sliders, steering guards, tree limb risers, brush bars, etc... Joking, But kind of serious....

Thanks man. It took a long time but it was worth the wait. The truck is so much faster and more power with this new engine than with my old one. I'm really happy.

I can see that, but it shows it having barn doors. It would be cool if they came that way.

odd 110

Came across this one yesterday. 110 forward control? Has 2 front an 2 rear 110 axles with 2 transfers and front and rear steer. Coil sprung with a 3.5 rover. Dash, pedals 110. Guy found it in a military surplus yard. Told they were made for desert operations
