Thats too cool.

There does seem to be an undercurrent of respect among Early Rovers and local law enforcement. When I dicked around with early 911's I lost my license and got every possible ticket combination I could imagine. I've never received any kind of ticket, parking or otherwise in a Defender.

Nice 110 in Reggio Calabria. Not so sure about the orange accents. Even the seat piping was orange as was the dash trim.

I was cutting through a residential area last month, the speed limit is 25, I was going faster than that and said to myself, I better slow down just as I see the officer in the bushes, he pulled me over and said I was going 40 in a 25, I gave him my license, he went back to his car, he comes back and said , "your car is way to cool to give you a ticket". He went on to tell me about his vacation in Italy and all of the defenders that he saw over there, needless to say it made my day,

My defender is right hand drive so that always confuses people (especially the elderly) in Florida. One day I plan to seat someone in the passenger seat with some random steering wheel at the same time that I'm driving. The amount of confusion that ensues will be detectable on the Richter scale. In Japan.

In Italy if you get special orange accents from the municipality you are allowed to park like a douche.

Row 110

Last night in Norcross, GA. The LED puddle lights looked really cool. The driver had a pretty heavy right foot, too.

Rock lights are super useful...not sure why you'd run them on the street though

For the same reason you'd wear adventure pants to the grocery store.

Looks and sounds like a very high quality job was done. Here is a pic the owner recently sent me and one RN magazine featured a couple of issues back before the project kicked off. Owner is a really great guy who has done a number of tours in AFG. He's always wanted to build up a truck to do long distance overlanding. Well deserved and I'm glad he's got it now.

I still prefer the original old-school red & limestone color scheme...
