The one in Charleston is British women I have ran into often. It spends most of it's time in that same spot. There is a white NAS ST that never moves just around the corner on the Battery as well.

There used to ALWAYS be a Series 3 at this location at the Battery but when I went home this time it was replaced by this D90 ST you referenced above.

Here it is at the corner of Stolls Alley & E. Bay street.

The guy with the series three had a green sw 109 and a limestone 3 door 109. He also had a place on Sullivan's Isl and would park one out there. That white one has only moved from one side of the road to the other in my 5 years here.

Here are all of the Defenders I saw in the USA during a recent coast to coast assessment:
Holler of I saw your car!

Philadelphia - Chestnut Hill - An Awesome Series 2 88:

New Orleans - A body swapped 2011 Crew Cab but a 1985 VIN Plate and chassis and a 300 TDI engine ... note they put the VIN plate on upside down! Nice owner but knew nothing about the car or Defenders. Sold to him by a company in Florida .... Hmmmm?

------ Follow up post added June 5th, 2014 02:33 PM ------

Denver - This D90 was parked in the REI flagship store parking ... must belong to staff.

Del Mar California (San Diego) - I was out for my morning run on the beach/train tracks when I chased down this D90 to a beachfront house. This awesome couple had this sweet D90 they keep in covered storage all winter.

They told me this White D90 (around the corner) belongs to a local chef.

------ Follow up post added June 5th, 2014 02:34 PM ------

Venice Beach - Visiting Deus Ex Machina USA when I saw this sweet Series 2 Dormobile with a Brownchurch rack was just sitting there waiting for me to steal it.

This Series 3 88 was parked in Berkley, Ca and looked like it hadn't run in a while.

Finally a D90 found in San Francisco. Very nice.

It was originally RHD if that makes any difference.

It looks like it was imported by PATTERSON AUTO SALES - DAVID JEE in WILMINGTON, NC

Yep it was a RHD originally maybe they did a RH 2 LH swap or a full body swap here in the USA. The CalVIN says it is supposed to be a RHD 1983-84 2 door pickup with a 2.5 Diesel.

It would never have passed the new CBP jihad standards . Patterson Sales seems to bring in allot of rovers these days.

Do the RHD have the vin plate facing that direction, so you can read it from the right side of the vehicle?

Yes I think RHD VIN Plates face outward on the right side.

Posting a bond at the Arlington VA magistrate, looked outside and saw a Coniston Green NAS ST roll by on Courthouse Rd. No time to snap a pic though.
